Crayons2Calculators (C2C) is a committed group of staff and volunteers who partner with the community to directly equip Durham Public School teachers with the classroom supplies they need to help reduce barriers to success for every Durham Public School student.

Drago Bratic
C2C Board Member
Drago joined the Board in February 2021 and currently serves on the Communications/IT Committee. His experience in programming and marketing helped C2C update their digital presence. Being the benefactor of various educational programs while growing up, Drago is committed to making sure youth have the same learning opportunities and tools that gave him a chance to succeed.
Russ Haddad
C2C Board Member
Russ joined the Board in February 2023. He brings to C2C experience in developing creative partnerships that lead to long-term relationships. He currently holds the position of Business Development Manager for the NC Craft Brewers Guild and is also a member of the Rotary Club of Durham and co-chair of its Youth & Education Support Committee (YES).
Euba McKoy
Office & Warehouse Assistant
Angelia Euba McKoy joined the staff in Summer of 2023 after serving on the Crayons2Calculators board since 2021. She has been an educator with Durham Public Schools for over 27 years. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts in secondary math education in 1993 where she was an All-American track and field team member. She began her teaching career at Sherwood Githens Middle School.
Sara Askey
C2C Board Member
Sara joined the Crayons2Calculators Board of Directors in March 2023. With nearly two decades of experience in nonprofit fundraising and communication including more than ten years in the educational equity space, Sara is excited to work with the C2C team to help equip Durham teachers and students with the supplies they need to be successful in the classroom.
Marilyn Cash
C2C Board Member
Marilyn Cash joined the Crayons2Calculators board in 2019. Her interest in C2C began when as a first year teacher in 2015 a coupon to “shop” for school supplies was given to Beginner teachers. I have shopped every year since. Being a part of the Board allows me to give back and share with others what this great organization has done and is still doing in our educational community.
Kristen Southworth
C2C Board Member
Kristen Southworth joined the Crayons2Calculators board in January 2021. Kristen is a Durham native, DPS alumni, and parent. As a child of a former DPS school teacher Kristen understands the vital role that C2C plays in supporting teachers and ensuring all students have full and engaging classrooms to enhance their learning.
Suzanne Valdivia
C2C Board Member
Suzanne Allen got connected to C2C when she served for a year as Volunteer Coordinator and Warehouse Manager. Seeing the excitement the teachers had when they did shopping in person was the best part of that role and she is delighted to get engaged again as a Board Member after serving as a volunteer grant-writer for several years.
