Our Impact
-
This year, 66 DPS teachers from 33 schools responded to C2C’s teacher satisfaction survey. Grades taught by these teachers ranged from early childhood through high school, though most respondents teach elementary school.
Forty-five survey respondents had shopped at C2C previously. The most common reasons for not shopping at C2C, provided by the remaining 21 survey respondents, were that the teacher was unaware of C2C or that C2C’s hours were inconvenient.
-
In general, teachers felt that C2C was accessible. As expected, teachers who have shopped at C2C previously were more likely to report that C2C was accessible than teachers who had not shopped at C2C. Early childhood and elementary school teachers were more likely than middle and high school teachers to report that C2C was accessible.
Eighty percent of teachers who have shopped at C2C previously agreed or strongly agreed that C2C allows them to shop for supplies at a time and location that is convenient for them. Nearly three-quarters of teachers who have shopped at C2C agreed or strongly agreed that C2C does a good job of marketing its services and events.
-
Survey data show that C2C helps teacher save 49% on school supplies each year. On average, teachers who filled out the survey spend $263 on school supplies each year, with higher spending for teachers of younger grades.
Nearly all teachers who have shopped at C2C felt that the store has supplies that meet their needs. All respondents who have shopped at C2C before were somewhat or very satisfied with the supplies they received from C2C. Ninety-eight percent of teachers who have shopped at C2C felt that C2C’s supplies were somewhat or very important in helping them feel supported in the classroom. All respondents who had shopped at C2C felt that the supplies they had received were somewhat or very important in helping their students learn and helping teachers feel appreciated and supported as educators.
-
All teachers who had shopped at C2C before were somewhat or very satisfied with C2C. Early childhood education teachers had the highest rate of satisfaction, with 75 percent of early childhood teachers reporting that they were very satisfied with C2C. When asked about their satisfaction with C2C volunteers and staff, all respondents who answered reported that they were somewhat or very satisfied.
